Snickerdoodles

These are one of my favorite cookies of all time. I use a Better Homes and Gardens recipe. This recipe makes about 4 dozen cookies.
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  1. Cream butter and  1 1/2 cupssugar, add baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Beat until combined.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla till combined.
  3. Beat in flour until mixture is combined.
  4. Cover and chill dough  about an hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350.
  6. In a small bowl combine cinnamon with 1/4 cup sugar.
  7. Shape dough into 1 1/4" balls.
  8. Roll into sugar mixture to coat.
  9. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  10. Bake 10-12 minutes until bottoms are lightly browned.
  11. Cool on wire racks.
