I drizzled white chocolate over the top of these after they were cooled. Figured it would dress them up a little for the holidays. These are great for any holiday since you can use any shape cookie cutters. Got this recipe from Nestle.
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lg egg yolk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cream butter, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and salt till combined.
- Beat in egg yolk and flour
- Stir in chocolate chips
- Divide dough in half, cover and chill for at least an hour
- Take one half of dough out of fridge, and roll to 1/4" thickness. Cut into shapes using your favorite cookie cutters.
- Place on baking sheets and bake for about 9-11 minutes, until golden brown
- Let cool on wire racks
If desired melt white chocolate and drizzle over cookies.
