Necklace Holder
I needed something to hold my bulkier necklaces because I was running out of room in my jewelry box. I browsed etsy and saw an idea I loved and figured I could make it in the colors I love. I still have to get Kyle to hang this up for me in our bedroom but I wanted to share some photos. It's painted a dark gray to match our bedroom which is a lighter gray. I got the knobs from Target, the paint from Lowes and the flowers from my scrapbook collection that I added jewels to the center.
To make get a 2x4 at Lowes and had dh cut it to 20" long (you can make this any length you wish), completely sanded all sides of the piece of wood. Marked out dots for Kyle to drill the holes in for me. I painted a few coats of my paint, added the knobs on and added the flowers. The flowers perfectly cover up any inperfections in the wood.

Grilled Pizza
I love when the weather warms up and Kyle starts to grill more. Saves me on those nights I'm not in the mood to cook, especially on those really warm summer days when you don't want to heat up the house with the oven. We do a mix of toppings for our grilled pizza. Sometimes I make the dough, other times we have this small amazing market up the road we can buy homemade dough at. We do a variety of toppings, for these pictures we used my homemade sauce, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and pepperoni. I got this grill pan a few years ago at Williams Sonoma.
As you can see no grilling experience would be complete without our grill helper - Princess. Can't wait till we grill up some pizza again.

My Journey Towards the Pursuit of Motherhood
I did this layout as a challenge for the local scrapbook store, for May you had to use quickutz and it had to be related to Mothers. So I decided to tackle what a tough journey that is for some people like myself.
Journaling reads "
Growing up I always thought I'd get married and have four children. We
began trying as soon as we got married. Here I am 9 yrs later dealing with
unexplained infertility and have 4 babies in heaven. Our first loss was twins at
19 weeks that we got pg with after IVF #2. Going through the pain of labor and
delivery knowing your babies won't make it is one of the toughest moments in my
life. Eight months later we had an early loss after IVF #3. Nine months after
that we got pg on our own, but I needed emergency surgery due to an ectopic and
ruptured left tube. I hope one day I get the chance to be as amazing a mother as
my stepmom."

Red Velvet Cupcakes
Red velvet cupcakes are my favorite and whenever I find a new bakery, mix or recipe I have to try it out. I love baking from scratch, but when I saw this new mix at Williams Sonoma I had to try it. The cupcakes were amazing and I can't wait to try the other flavors they have and also pick up another box of this mix. I made the cream cheese frosting recipe they have on the back and it was great, not too sweet. I sprinkled on smore sprinkles on top. I would recommend this mix to everyone.
